Health Committee

In an effort to address the health requirements of the residents of Ezbet Khairalla, we provide medical caravans on a regular basis that serve between 650 to 750 residents every month.

Different specializations are provided such as pediatric, gynecology, dental, ENT, optometry, dermatology and orthopedic. Laboratory and X-ray services are also available, as well as many others.

The doctors are all volunteers, and thanks to donations we are able to provide a limited number of reading glasses on a monthly basis.

Given that the residents of Ezbet Khairalla are approximately 650,000; our efforts are but a drop in a bucket. In the long term, we are working with the ministry of health to establish permanent clinics with emergency services.

In addition to the medical caravans, we offer outreach programs that promote family hygiene, women's health, affordable and healthy cooking and other programs with the goal of prevention of diseases and improving quality of life.

2010 Progress Report

15 Health caravans, manned with the highest standard of doctors in numerous specializations, (including ocular and dental), served the Ezba during 2010.

An average of 650-700 residents was treated in each visit.

Peace and Plenty offers free medication along with the free medical services

500 prescription eyeglasses were provided by Peace and Plenty free of charge in 2010.


Regular monthly subsidies are provided to families in dire need, and food boxes are distributed during Ramadan. This is an area where we can use plenty of help, as the number of people in need is substantial.
